“This work was initially realized in Rotterdam and titled 'Claw House Vacuum'. The sculpture has a vacuum cleaner mounted below the table form which is providing a focal point of suction at the entrance of the small house on top. The work is based on the experience of dealing with family oppression and provincialism of small town attitudes. In a way it is intended to operate as a kind of tragic comic. The small house seems innocent enough, yet when the viewer places his finger in front of the entrance they experience in intense vortex attempting to pull them inside.”  RH
