Canada: 1990 - 1986
This intense and prolific period resulted in three major and distinctly individual installations of new work and participation in one particularly important group exhibition ‘Stations’ in 1987 at the International Centre for Contemporary Art, Montreal. The exhibition included major international artists such as Louise Bourgeois, Eric Fischl, Marina Abramovic, Leon Golub, James Turrell, Jenny Holzer, Bruce Nauman to name but a few. In this same year Huebner mounted the solo installation ‘What You Don’t Know Won’t Hurt You’ at the Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver which was followed in 1989 by yet another new, large scale, solo installation ‘Need Me, Like I Need You’ at the UBC Fine Arts Gallery, Vancouver.
